rEscanTM
Complete Condition Monitoring Solutions
rEscanTM provides monitoring systems and services for the detection of early splice failure, cord breaks, corrosion and carcass defects. The rEscan system works through magnetic flux leakage. Steel cords are magnetized within the belting then measured for the amount of magnetic flux leakage seen in the belt.
rEscan Remote Conveyor Belt Monitoring System
The rEscan Remote Conveyor Belt Monitoring System is a permanently installed conveyor diagnostics tool designed for the analysis of splice condition, cord damage, and cord corrosion without the need to stop production on a steel cord conveyor system. The interface allows for belt positioning and auto stoppages at a determined position on the conveyor system. Remote monitoring capability enables you to request scanning at any given time with no site visit required to download.
MFL Scanning Methodology:
The steel cords are magnetized within the belting then measured for the amount of magnetic flux leakage (MFL) within the belt. As the belt passes the transducer, a signal is sent directly to a
rEscanTM Remote computer system for trending and analysis against the baseline scan result. An event log is created to register location and time of all changes in cord condition and splice condition.
New!! rEscan 24/7
rEscan can now scan the belting every revolution on fixed speed or variable speed belts through the rEscan 24×7 system. rEscan 24×7 provides the ability to alert users at the instant any significant cord damage or splice damage is detected.
In addition a PLC interface gives user the ability to stop the belting at any selected splice, detected cord damage or belt length location and to position the belt wherever required.
Semi-Remote MFL Scanning System
This is also a permanently installed conveyor diagnostics tool, designed for those sites with ISP or telecommunication service difficulties. The Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL) hardware is permanently installed.
Manual MFL Scan
The Full Manual scan involves a trained rEscanTM Technician to travel to the site and perform a full longitudinal belt scan. Requiring two to six hours of belt isolation, the scanning service can be carried out in one to two full days depending on length and amount of damage.
A detailed report is compiled off-site to identify all locations of damage within the scanned belt and will recommend repairs in order of priority.
